Alexandria T'ai Chi is committed to delivering the benefits of T'ai Chi (Taiji) and Qigong in an approachable and inclusive environment. Students are empowered to gain self-sufficiency in practices that improve health and well-being in numerous ways. We collaborate with students to achieve their training goals, whether a simple routine for general self-care, or understanding the deeper levels of Qigong and Taijiquan.

Taiji and Qigong provide unique methods for enhancing how we sense our movements and the environment around us, as well as for calming the mind. Meet the Instructor

Training Options

Blake Wheeler has studied Taiji and Qigong for over 20 years. He is fully endorsed to teach the arts by his teacher, John Alton, a formally recognized Qigong Master vetted by the Minister of Sport in Beijing. Blake has led classes and seminars around the mid-Atlantic region since 2004. Through this experience, he has honed his methods to deliver the deeper benefits of Taiji and Qigong to people of all experience levels and walks of life. Having enhanced his life in many ways through these arts, Blake endeavors to bring that transformational experience to others.

Practice will focus on the Yang style simplified 24-step Taiji form along with basic Qigong training. Other forms, including the 48-step and 88-step forms, and styles, including Chen style Taiji and Xingyi, may be taught. All levels of experience welcome.

Comprehensive Qigong workshops are held periodically based on demand.
